The Divisi Hive is a community space for farmers to share knowledge, celebrate harvests, ask for advice, and support one another. To keep Hive useful and welcoming for everyone — especially first-time smartphone users and smallholder farmers who may be new to social apps — we ask all members to follow these guidelines.
What We Encourage
- Share real farming experiences. Photos of your crops, harvest totals, pest problems you solved, and techniques that worked for you are exactly what Hive is for.
- Ask genuine questions. No question is too basic. The community is here to help.
- Give helpful, accurate answers. If you're not sure, say so. Bad advice in farming can cost someone their season.
- Celebrate other farmers' successes. A good harvest deserves recognition.
- Respect differences. Farmers come from many countries, cultures, and farming backgrounds. Treat everyone with dignity.
What Is Not Allowed
- Harassment and bullying. Do not attack, insult, or threaten other users — in posts, comments, or direct messages.
- Misinformation. Do not share false farming advice, fake product claims, or conspiracy theories that could harm farmers.
- Spam and self-promotion. Do not repeatedly post the same content, advertise products or services without disclosure, or solicit money from other users.
- Hateful content. No content that discriminates based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, or any other characteristic.
- Explicit or graphic content. No sexually explicit material or gratuitous violence.
- Illegal content. No content that promotes illegal activity, infringes copyright, or violates another person's privacy (e.g. sharing someone's personal information without consent).
- Impersonation. Do not pretend to be another farmer, public figure, or Divisi staff.
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination, depending on severity and recurrence. Serious violations (threats, illegal content) may be reported to law enforcement.
You can block any user who bothers you via their profile. Use the report button on any post or comment to flag a violation for our review.
Report a Problem
If you see content that violates these guidelines and the in-app report button is not sufficient, email us at developers@codefarm.africa with a description and, if possible, a screenshot.
These guidelines operate alongside our Terms of Service, which take precedence in the event of any conflict.
