Everything you need to know before you get started.

Yes — fully. Once you've set up your farm profile, the app stores your crop advice, planting calendars, and farm diary data locally. You can record observations, view recommendations, and access your history with zero data connection. Data syncs automatically when you reconnect.

Yes, completely free — no subscription, no hidden fees, no premium tier. Our mission is to make smart farming tools accessible to every farmer worldwide, regardless of income.

Divisi works anywhere in the world. Our focus is smallholder and subsistence farmers in developing regions — across Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and Latin America — but anyone, anywhere can sign up and use it. Weather data and hyper-local crop advice are calibrated to your exact GPS location, so it works just as well in rural Zimbabwe as in rural Indonesia.

Divisi covers the most common staple and commercial crops across the region — including maize, tomatoes, cassava, groundnuts, sorghum, beans, sweet potato, and many others. Our catalogue grows regularly and you can request crops not yet listed.

Yes — Divisi is on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. There's also a full web version at app.divisi.africa that works on any browser, including basic Android browsers, without needing to install anything.

Divisi is available in English, Shona, Swahili, French, and Yoruba, with more languages in progress. You can change your language in settings at any time.

Your farm data belongs to you. We never sell your data to third parties. Your private diary entries and farm records are only visible to you. What you share publicly on the Farmer Hive is under your control — you choose what to post.

Absolutely — it was designed for small-scale and subsistence farmers first. Whether you farm half an acre or fifty, the advice is calibrated to your real conditions, not a commercial operation. The app is lightweight and works on budget Android phones.
