Divisi uses artificial intelligence (AI) to power several features. This page explains which features use AI, how they work, and the important limitations you should be aware of before relying on AI-generated content for farming decisions.
Features That Use AI
Taurai — WhatsApp chatbot
Taurai is an AI-powered agricultural assistant that you interact with via WhatsApp. It is not a human. When you send Taurai a message, the content is processed by our AI inference service to generate a response. Our Privacy Policy describes how this data is handled.
Taurai can assist with general farming queries, crop guidance, and navigating the Divisi app. All conversations are stored on our servers for up to 12 months.
Insights articles
Articles published in the Divisi Insights section may be generated or assisted by AI using the same inference service. AI-authored articles are reviewed for quality but may contain errors.
Important Limitations
AI-generated content on Divisi:
- Is not professional agronomist advice. It is general information only and must not substitute for qualified agronomic, veterinary, or legal guidance.
- May be inaccurate or outdated. AI language models are trained on data with a knowledge cutoff date and cannot always reflect the latest pest outbreaks, input prices, or local regulations.
- Cannot account for all local conditions. Farming outcomes depend on your specific soil type, microclimate, seed variety, input quality, and many other factors that an AI cannot observe.
- May occasionally hallucinate. AI models can generate plausible-sounding but incorrect facts. Always verify critical advice.
Before making significant farming decisions — including purchasing inputs, changing planting dates, or treating a disease outbreak — consult a qualified agricultural extension officer or certified agronomist in your area.
